Shorya has done his Bakery Science and Management studies from Hyejeon College, South Korean and has also done Applied Baking Science Course from AIB-International. He has done a number of industry trainings in India and abroad. He has been involved in setting up of AIBTM since its foundation. His core areaof working has been in bread, patisserie, sugar art, chocolate etc. Shorya is also working  on ambitious projects of AIBTM that is Meilleur – The Bake Shop (

Dr. Suresh Itapu
Board of Director

Dr. Itapu has a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, India. He worked for five years at Department of Food Science, Purdue University, USA. Recently, Dr. Itapu took professional baking training from American Institute of Baking, Manhattan, KS, USA. Until 2009, Dr. Suresh Itapu worked as Global Technical Director – Human Nutrition with ASA – International Marketing (ASA-IM) and stationed in New Delhi. Dr. Itapu was helping ASA-IM global offices in effectively managing their food program to promote U.S. soy food products. During this period, Dr. Itapu worked closely with soy and food industries in Japan, Taiwan, China, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Hong Kong. Dr. Itapu worked as Technical Director – Human Nutrition (South Asia) for about seven years and worked with Indian food industry representatives, entrepreneurs and health care professionals on promotion of soybeans. He has authored several scientific and popular articles in reputed international journals and trade magazines. During the past ten years Dr. Itapu was responsible for significantly improving the consumption of soy foods in India across different segments of population. The consumption of soybean for food use in India rose by more than ten folds during the period of nine years he worked with ASA-IM. After leaving ASA-IM, Dr. Itapu started his own consultancy service and also on a part-time basis took the charge of executive director for Soy Food Promotion and Welfare Association (SFPWA) to continue soy food promotion activities in India. Recently, Dr. Itapu moved to Hyderabad and continues his consulting activities and helping a local NGO (Society for Energy, Environment and Development) with its R&D activities in food processing.

Mr. N.L.Mehta, a well known professional associated with India’s Bakery Industry for past more than 30 years. He possesses rich & multifaceted experience in all line & staff functions related to Bakery Business starting his career initially in sales & marketing and then graduating to Large Bakery Units Management.

A food industry professional with over 20 years of experience spanning Quality Management, Operations and R & D. He counts the ability to create appropriate quality systems and processes and their institutionalization as his core strength which has been demonstrated consistently. He has a strong belief in people and the need for a high level of continuous training to enable them to deliver consistent results. His specialties are Quality & Food Safety Management, HACCP, ISO 22 K, PAS 220, Training, Kaizen , Specialist in Food Microbiology, Analysis, Manual, Specification management. He retired from Britannia Industries Limited as Head – Corporate Quality Assurance. He worked with Britannia for 7+ years. Apart from this he has vast experience in Food Industries and has worked with Heinz India Pvt. Ltd. for 1.2 years. He has Doctorate Degree from Central Food Technological Institute (CFTRI) in Food Microbiology.

Ravi Is a Graduate in Chemistry with post graduate diploma in Industrial chemistry (Fats &Oils, Fuels, Sugars, etc) and also had an initial 2 years experience in Tamil nadu Dadha Pharmaceuticals as Chemist. Mr. Ravi has 36 years experience in Britannia Industries Limited in Quality, Analysis, Process Technology and R&D . He retired as R&D Manager (Technical) from Britannia Industries Limited.

Mr. S.K. Puri

S.K. Puri has 38 years of Corporate experience at leading organisations like BHEL and TATA. He has over 10 years of Professional experience in training Academics and Management Consultancy for Corporate and Institutions at national and international levels. He has expertise in Mentoring, coaching, counselling and training the students for enhancing their employability quotient. He has conducted several courses on Personality Development.
